This year marked the 2nd Online Marketing in Galway Awards
. The OMiG Awards are about showcasing and rewarding companies and individuals in Galway who are doing amazing work in their Online Marketing efforts.
With over 200 applicants I was over the moon to be nominated for two categories this year and I was ecstatic that I made the top 5 for Best Blog Award and the top 10 in the People’s Choice Category. Thanks so much to everyone that took the time to vote for Yummy Mummy.
It was very tough competition with Bec Boop, Mykidstime.com, Results Ireland and Total Fitness Solutions also nominated in the Best Blog Award. And the winner on the night was fellow blogger Bec Boop, an Irish fashion and beauty blog.
The top 10 in The People’s Choice Category was An Púcán, Beechmount Art Studio, Cotton Face, Galway Daily News, NUI Galway Student Union, Quickest Fox Marketing, Results Ireland, Standún Spiddal and The Dough Bros. And taking away the award on the night was An Púcán, another well deserved winner.
The OMiG Awards were held in the Town Hall Theatre and hosted by Mr Robin Chedgey. The panel of speaker included Catriona O’Kennedy, IDA Ireland, Pauric Lenehan, Digital Marketing and Channel Manager for Aviva and Joan Mulvhill, CEO of the Irish Internet Association, with a lively discussion on the topic ~Digital Marketing what can SME’s learn from multinationals~.
There was also some light entertainment for our enjoyment….
Musical comedian Steve Bennett had the audience in stitched with his witty and charming comedy, I laughed so much.
Even though I was not a winner I was privileged to be a finalist amongst some of Galway’s finest Online Marketers.
Congrats to the winners:
And finally a huge congratulations and well done to the OMiG Team. It was a wonderful evening and I’m looking forward to next years OMiG Awards already.
