Celebrate Your Summer Party Season In Style

With summer in full swing, a number of special celebrations are probably about to populate your social calendar. Whether it’s a summer party, staff night out, stag or hen party, this post has got it covered.

So last Friday I enjoyed a fabulous night out with fellow bloggers from Into The West Blogger Network.  We were delighted to be invited along to one of Galway’s hot spots – with food, cocktails and disco music all under the one roof – how could you not go home without a full belly, sore head and aching feet (always a sign of a good night out).

Nothing shouts ‘summer vibes’ like Biteclub, an exciting and chilled out venue in the heart of Galway City.  Blending exotic bites, inventive boozy cocktails and club vibes in a laid-back market street atmosphere it was the perfect venue for our Into The West Blogger Network summer party.  With beautiful 1950’s reclaimed kitchen counters, a mixture of vintage furniture and colourful floor beautifully mosaics together from old basketball court flooring, this space is pretty damn cool.

With an impressive cocktail menu and Biteclub’s famous Margarita slushies you just know its going to be a great night from the start.  On top of that the Biteclub evening menu offers some amazing choices of food, locally sourced where possible.

Our table was spread with an array of delicious, colourful and affordable bites with enough for everyone to share and be happy.  The beef burger, beet hummus, pink onions and brioche was my favourite as was the korean twice fried chicken served with toasted sesame seeds.  Another big hit was the falafel salad plate with middle-eastern cous cous and potato salad.

You’ve got to experience the inventive menu and the warm and friend atmosphere Biteclub has to offer.  It’s such an amazing venue for throwing a good party and they can offer private spaces for dinner parties, birthdays, staff parties and more.

The Glasshouse

The party didn’t end there…A little bit darker, a little bit more secretive and a little bit more late bar … next we went up stairs to The Glasshouse at Electric (It’s so cool to have so many venues under the one roof)… and sure it would be rude not to sample the cocktails at The Glasshouse, the flagship cocktail bar at Electric.

It was my first time in The Glasshouse at Electric and it definitely won’t be my last.  I absolutely loved the unique bohemian feel of the place with the fabulous patchwork of vintage styles throughout.

The menu is simple, raw, organic and botanic. Small but down-to-earth, using local and exotic ingredients such as rhubarb poitín and lychee & lemongrass whiskey.  The Glasshouse are aiming to be the first cocktail bar in the country to introduce a “Farm-to-Bar” ideology, sourcing the ingredients for their cocktails from local greenmarkets, organic produce venders and their own Rooftop Herb Garden.

Dancing the night away in the club…. It had been a long time since I was in Halo but I was more than happy to go with the flow… and I never refuse VIP treatment.. we enjoyed a reserved area with a glass or two of Prosecco and shared the Grey Goose platter, very fancy I know!!!! (Find out more about the drinks menu HERE).

We had so much fun and had a boogie too – it was the perfect ending to a great night.  Check out the VIP Packages HERE.  Thanks again to the staff and management at Biteclue, The Glasshouse & Halo and the super company of all my fellow Bloggers from ITWBN.  Let’s do it again soon.
