Who could say no to afternoon tea
I always say yes to an invitation to afternoon tea and was delighted to sample the recently launched Afternoon Tea Menu at the Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown along with a group of blogger friends from Irish Blogger Agency. The setting was absolutely beautiful and it truly was an afternoon tea experience to remember. From the warm and friendly welcome from the staff of the Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown to the attention to detail, it was the perfect afternoon.
Pimp Your Prosecco
Greeted by the charming Brendan we relaxed immediately with the novelty of Pimp Your Prosecco. Such a fab idea, we got to choose from a selection of mixers including casia, melon or orange to add to our Prosecco topped with a selection of berries, the perfect party starter.
The unique and vintage surroundings was so pretty and elegant. The signature vintage doors, sweet cart and the personalised touches were to be admired and complimented. It got me thinking of so many other reasons why I’d return to the Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown for afternoon tea.
Emma, Events & Wedding Co-Ordinator at the Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown was on hand all afternoon ensuring we had the best day ever and we were spoilt with goodie bags full to the brim of products and gifts from some fantastic sponsors (Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown, Ultra Pure Laboratories, Human + Kind, Dr Paw Paw, Ardell Lashes, Graham Anthony, Irish Blogger Agency, Westend Retail Park, Chopped, O’Briens Wine, Debenhams, NudeByNature).
The Delights of Afternoon Tea
Afternoon tea at the Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown really is a treat and for a fantastic price of €15 per person or €22.50 with Prosecco there is no reason why you should not indulge. With the perfect mix of savoury and sweet and an never ending flow of tea this afternoon tea experience get’s top marks from me. The roast beef sandwiches served with red onion marmalade and horseradish cream was so mouth watering.
But my favourite was the supreme of chicken with apple wood smoked cheddar cheese. Oh and the fruit banana bread and freshly baked scones with strawberry jam, fresh cream and butter were enjoyed with a smile. Also on the menu was lemon drizzle cake, custard tarts, toffee gateauz mile feuile, baked vanilla cheese cake and signature Carlton coconut fluff. Now you have to admit there is something there to suit everyone’s taste buds.
Tempted by Signature Gin Cocktails
We chatted and giggled for the afternoon and rounded of the day with a G&T in The Hourglass Bar. The most difficult part of the day was choosing a Gin from the extensive Gin Menu!!! The summer berry infused gin iced tea is the perfect thirst quencher, full of fruity flavours that go down (a little too) easily
I’d like to thank all the team at the Carlton Hotel Blanchardstown for a fabulous afternoon, we had so much fun and we’re excited to return. I promise the afternoon tea menu is definitely worth checking out HERE.
